The Delano-Watertown-Mayer Boys Swimming and Diving team finished off a very busy week at the Bloomington Jefferson Jaguar Invite. The Class A Tigers finished 3rd behind Class AA Eastridge and Bloomington Jefferson. This was the highest they have placed at this invite. Nick Black set a school record in the 100 Backstroke on his way to winning that event as well as finished first in the 50 Freestyle. Colby Kern took first in both the 100 Freestyle and 200 Freestyle. Finally, the 400 Freestyle Relay team of Kaden Georges, Gentry Nuytten, Nick Black, and Colby Kern ended the meet with a runaway victory in the 400 Freestyle Relay.
The divers competed earlier in the day and Luke Hanson broke his 11 dive school record from last year taking fifth, while Haakon Sundheim finished seventh in his first 11 dive meet.
The boys will be working hard over the winter break and next competing at the Maroon and Gold invite at the University of Minnesota on January 4th.
