Reno Bredahl had the hot hand on Tuesday, tallying four hits and leading Delano Tigers Varsity to a 11-2 victory over Robbinsdale Cooper. Bredahl singled in the second, singled in the fourth, singled in the sixth, and singled in the seventh.
Robbinsdale Cooper got things started in the first inning when Spencer Niebuhr singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Delano Tigers Varsity pulled away for good with four runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Niebuhr threw a wild pitch allowing one run across the plate for Delano Tigers Varsity, Max Otto singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run, and Robbie Knight singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.
Delano Tigers Varsity put up four runs in the sixth inning. Dylan Hall, Bredahl, Carson Tschudi, and Otto all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
Otto was the winning pitcher for Delano Tigers Varsity. He went four innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out seven. Cade Lommel threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Niebuhr took the loss for Robbinsdale Cooper. He went three and two-thirds innings, allowing one run on four hits, striking out four and walking one.
Delano Tigers Varsity had 16 hits in the game. Bredahl, Tschudi, Knight, Chris Glunz, and Otto each collected multiple hits for Delano Tigers Varsity. Bredahl went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Delano Tigers Varsity in hits. Delano Tigers Varsity was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Glunz made the most plays with eight.
