Delano Tigers Varsity stayed in it until the end, but Willmar pulled away late in a 2-1 victory on Tuesday. The game was tied at one with Willmar batting in the bottom of the fifth when Drey Dirksen doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Willmar pitchers struck out six, while Delano Tigers Varsity sat down five.

Otto, Cade Lommel, and Robbie Knight all had one hit to lead Delano Tigers Varsity. Delano Tigers Varsity was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Chris Glunz had the most chances in the field with seven.
Willmar saw the ball well today, racking up six hits in the game. Tanner Bauman, Dirksen, and Dierenfeld each racked up multiple hits for Willmar. Willmar was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Dirksen made the most plays with seven.
